A
fine rosewood (hongmu) rectangular tray with the corners reinforced
by baitong bands.
The geometrical pattern of the recessed waist beaded-edged apron makes
an elegant decoration.
Four cabriole legs are supported on a rectangular base stretcher ending
at the four corners with small feet.
Such
trays were used in the southern part of China for tea or opium serving.
