A Mandalay-style wooden Buddha image standing on a lotus pedestal in orange lacquer patina, Both hands are in the varada or boon-granting mudra. The right holds a myrobalan (Terminalia chebula)fruit as an offering. The outer robe, with its deep naturalistic folds, resembles a cape covering both shoulders. Note the fish tail folds, highlighted with coloured glass around the edge of the garment.
