Carlo Cristi will exhibit at The International Asian Art Fair, Park Av. at 67 Str., New York City, from March 31 to April 5. The show will focus on bronzes from Tibet, Nepal and China; paintings and illuminations from Tibet, terracottas from Gupta India and early textiles and artifacts from Central Asia and China.

Notable a rare and important group of early bronzes and repoussé from Nepal, including a remarkably beautifu 9th century Lokesvara.
Rare illuminations and tangkas of fine quality from Central and Western Tibet will be exhibited. From the scarce material available from Central Asia some painted wooden panels of great interest, dated 8th century, and related to the Tibetan empire of the period.

Noteworthy among textiles an important , 7th century, complete dress in remarkable conditions with large border of roundels with rare design. Some fragments woven with Sasanian/Sogdian animal motifs will be on show along with weaving from Warring States period. Early embroideries, Liao, Mongol period and Islamic weaves will complete this year collection.
