Marble Buddha Head. Benevolent expression with smoothly curved eyebrows and delicate carved lips. Hair carved in tight coils, simple spirals. Good patina with traces of roots on surface. Sixth Century, Northern Qi (AD 550-577). H. 12 in (30.5 cm), H. 17 in (43 cm) (with base), D. 7.5 in (19 cm).
