LATE MING. TIANQI / CHONGZHENG c.1620 - 1644.

A Fine and Rare Tianqi or Chongzhen Blue and White Porcelain Teapot Made For the Japanese Market. Of Sqaut shape with a Tall Wide Strap Type Curved handle. The recessed lid with an 'S' Shape Finial. Finely Decorated with Two Scenes of Men on Horse-back Galloping within a Mountainous Landscape. The Cover Decorated with Japanese style 'Mons' and a Fan.
