A rare and massively potted Chinese pottery ewer, with decagonal short spout, covered overall in a rich creamy white glaze extending completely down to the flat base. Tang dynasty, c.8th century AD.

Oxford Thermoluminescence Test Certificate.
Glaze fritting to rim and spout.

To date we have never seen such a large example of such a jar or ewer.
