The present TV-building is quite large, but the sloping roof makes it seem small and enables one to see Potala Palace from the crossing of the two main streets Beijing Middle Road and Lingkor West Street. Still the grand plan to clear up around Potala following its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List demands the demolition of the building. It will be moved to a site in the eastern part of Lhasa. The move is no doubt also an answer to the need for expansions, which are not possible on the present site.
