Detail: open A rare small sized box built to hold a set of scholar tools (inkstone, brushes, inkstick, water pot, glue pot, seal). The scholar box is fitted to a handle with attached base. The two front door open to reveal four small drawers. A similar box in the Mendienxuan collection, (Hong Kong) was exhibited at the Museum of the University of Hong Kong. |
