Hardwood Chogtse
Detail:Detail of central motif
A fine hardwood chogtse, intricately carved. In the center is the triratna motif so commonly found in Tibetan furniture. This suggests that it may have been a monastery table. The front of the table is made of two separate carved section, with the triratna and vegetal swirls above and a repeated trefoil pattern below; the woods are of a slightly different color.
