Dear Suman,
These are three bodhisattvas, from left to right Manjusri, Avalokitesvara and Vajrapani.
They have been copied from a large complex gilt bronze and silver image that depicts the three of them standing on lotus pedestals supported on a rectangular stepped base with an elaborate mandorla surrounding all three. The total height of the images and mandorla is 71cms.
The statue is in the Pritzker collection and was exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago from August to April 2003. The exhibition was then shown at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington from October 2003 to January 2004. The exhibition was styled "Himalayas: An Aesthetic Adventure". An excellent catalogue of the same name was written by Dr Pratapaditya Pal with contributions from other Himalayan art schollars. It was published by the Art Institute of Cahicago in association with the University of California Press and Mapin Publishing.
It is still on sale at specialist asian art bookshops.
There are two pages of description of the image in this publication.
