You still have managed to not show a fully-lit photo of the whole pot, but try to do that in the future.
I don't have a clue where it was made, iron-bearing clays with major impurities are available nearly everywhere.
I have no reason to think it is especially old but could not say it is brand-new either.
Your suspicion that it was made in Africa may be correct. Africa is a big place.
So. An attractive pot made somewhere, possibly recently (within past 30 years). Or not.
