Help with Two oriental art works |
Posted By: rat Posted Date: Nov 21, 2016 (09:07 AM) |
Message Both seem to be printed reproductions of original paintings, the handscroll original being rather recent, not earlier than the 1990s. You will need to post a clear closeup of the smaller characters of the inscription to determine whether it includes an artist's signature or date. The album leaf original is part of an album of similar leaves painted by a Qing dynasty court artist; the image with the facing page of calligraphy includes several seals of the Qianlong emperor, so the original was painted before 1796. The image of the partial seals you've posted seems to be of later collectors' seals rather than of the artist's seals. Post a Response |
