Message This is an average quality Japanese export Kyoto-style stoneware vase of the late Meiji-Taisho era (circa 1900-1926). The characters form a factory quality control marking, reading down as "Right (side), 29", possibly related to height or another dimension and indicating the vase was part of a pair or set originally.
