Message A procession of frogs. Looks very Japanese, Meiji period to me. Could be a woodblock print in the "shikishiban" format. Unfortunately, I have problems with the reading of the signature. The first character could be "Kei" or "Kage" (景); second character not read at all. Under the signature is a red 'kakihan' (artist's script mark or personal seal). Guy. Post a Response |
