I have an unusual 18" Imari charger plate(photos attached) my Parents received as a gift when they were married in Japan in 1949. My father was an Ensign in the Navy after graduating from the US Naval Academy in 1947 and my mother's father was a Navy Captain(USNA 1929) who was in command of a liberty ship. It appears that the painting of the center of the plate was not completed. I am trying to find out if that is uncommon and how it might affect the value of the piece. I appreciate any information you can give me regarding the plate.
