Japanese Painting Silk chipmunk |

Message Similar paintings were sold in numerous kiosks on the Ginza in Tokyo after the war and through the '50s. They were ideal souvenirs for service people because the were attractive and could be rolled up and carried easily. The artists were paid per piece and turned out great quantities daily. I still have some purchased in 1952 on the Ginza. Post a Response |
