With the help of a friend, I learned that my plaque was painted by the artist Xiong Fuqing.
I was able to find one auction record, but almost no biographical info on the artist.

When I use Google to translate to English, it says, 'known by Wang Qi impact rather Big'.
I realize the translation may not accurately reflect the true meaning of what was intended, so I'm asking if anyone can help provide some additional information on this artist.
Was Xiong a predecessor that influenced Wang Qi, or was he a disciple who was influenced by Wang Qi? The manner of the faces clearly suggests a strong relationship.
The old label on the plaque suggested that the plaque was rendered c. 1860's. I believe the date is Ding Chou (丁丑) 1877,1937.
I am inclined to believe 1937, which is also the year Wang Qi died, but the thick application of the enamel work on the robes does look to me to be 19th c., but I do not have enough experience to be sure.
Also, if anyone has more auction records or info, I would appreciate a link.
Thank you.
