I believe the characters for the name are 松室, which can be read in one transliteration as 'Matsumuro'. If this is correct, the complete mark would be 薩摩 (Satsuma), 松室製 (Matsumuro sei -Made by Matsumuro). However, while Google produced hits connecting this name to the Satsuma Fiefdom, none of the hits were in the context of pottery or porcelain. It may be that the name has a different transliteration. Perhaps more knowledgeable collectors will take a shot at this one.
