I have this painting that looks very old with no signature. I think it's Japanese or Chinese and I believe it's tempera on a hemp canvas with some kind of white lime as a ground. It is cracked throughout the entire painting. The dimensions are 49" height 39" wide From what I read about mediums, some kinds of fish oil that were used, caused paintings to crack because they would dry too fast. Even with the cracks it's really a beautiful piece of art. The woman in the painting looks like royalty and she is outlined with gold. She also has an oversized hat on, with a cool design in the front, which is also covered with gold. Also the frame has gold gilding around the trim pieces on back and front of painting. Also on the back side of frame, there is a wood back with some kind of foil material with red velvet material designs. Any help identifying this painting would be greatly appreciated.
