Help identifying Japanese seascape painted on silk |
Posted By: rat Posted Date: May 13, 2013 (10:51 AM) |
Message not so sure about that, to me it seems Japanese. the artist's name may be 春光, possibly "Shunko". the Japanese (and Koreans in the past) use Chinese characters but assign them their own pronunciation, one that is either based on the Chinese pronunciation or one that comes directly from the Japanese language. "Shunko" would be the Japanese version of the Chinese pronuncation of the two characters. Post a Response |
