Re: any help identifying age/material of faux ivory sculpture? |

Message A lot of these chinoiserie figurines are made of cast resin or a mixture of resin and bone powder. Many like this "beauty", which has faux markings to go with the faux ivory, probably date from around the 1920's to the 1950's. They don't seem to do very well at auction, as the below link to a result shows. However, as long as there are retro decorators, there'll probably be a market for them somewhere. Good luck, Bill H.
