Message Your vases are in a type of Japanese porcelain known as 'sharkskin', also called Coralene, because of its textured glaze. The marks are of the maker Takeuchi Chubei. See the link below for further information on Takeuchi and his sharkskin porcelain. I believe such marks probably date to around 1885.
