Message Tonny, by "newer" Chinese Bill did not mean 17th-18th century (Kangxi reign) or late 18th/early 19th (Qianlong reign). I believe he meant circa 3rd quarter 20th century. "Earlier Japanese" would be pre-World War II and have nothing to do with the Kangxi or Qianlong reigns in China. Transfer-printing of designs on Japanese factory porcelains was pretty common in 1920s and later. Good luck, Cal Post a Response |
