Message Dear Emiel, Thank to Super`s gracious indication, the correct reading of the painter`s name is; 譚勇 Tan Yong (Real Surname and Name of Artist). From Chinese language net I have found the artist. Tan Yong (1918-) Chinese flower and bird painter. Served as professor of art at Nanjing Pedagogical University of Fine Arts. He was a disciple of Xu Beihong. Furthermore, I could identify the same identical signature on one of his work on a 2004/11 "Spirit Collection" (sssc.com) auction site. (Chinese language) Sorry for misleading you with my erroneous reading. I also ought to say warm thanks to "Super"for his gracious help. With regards, I.Nagy Post a Response |
