Message Hello. I write from japan. Seeing your pictures,I thnik this vase is mada in Sanagu,Mie Prefecture during Showa period. 'Bunpintei' is brand name of KOMORI SHINOBU's pottery. This pottery was located at Sanagu(佐那具),Mie Prefecture(三重県) and so short-lived. Mrs.KOMORI(1889-1962) is a significant engineer in modern japanese ceramic history. He operated several pottery factorys in Dalian(Chine),Sanagu(Seto,JPN) and Ebetsu(Hokkaido,JPN).He has great genius about ceramic glaze. His junior fellows are KAWAI KANJIRO and HAMADA SYOJI.KOMORI's remaining works are few. Therefore your one is so impor-tant,I guess. Please refer to this site for more information. ttp://www.city.ebetsu.hokkaido.jp/ceramic/04/index.html |
