Subject:I would like some help to date and Help with signatures
Posted By: Arun Khatri Tue, Feb 16, 2021 IP: 47.205.112.115

Thanks in advance as always. Would like input on signature and painting. Sorry about the not so clear photos, my camera battery was dead and had to use my Phone.

Hi Arun,

I have the EXACT copies of these, blue seal and all. They are decorative ancestor "Empress"(and "Emperor", I have both) prints which were sold by a home decor company called "The Gallery at Jordans Interiors Ltd". Probably bought wholesale in China and shipped to a few interior decorating stores in the US/Canada. You're print is the first I have seen though, they are massive in size, like 4-5' h approx.

Thanks Dan D, yes it is rather large especially with the frame. Does this have any value since it is a print? Or just a good showpiece?

Hi Arun,

To be honest, Jordan's Interiors here is considered a "high end luxury" home furnishing store, I am sure they sold for $400-$1000 new for the pair, maybe even up to $1200. The frames at that size alone are worth at least $300-500. It's a great show piece and I think home stagers would be your best person to sell them to.
