Looks like a draft painting for a fan by Yamamoto Baiitsu, or just a study. He usually does drafts like this. Interesting paper.

Hi Peter,
Thank you so much for your help.
I have a series of pages like this, all tied together forming a 4 m long handscroll. Attached are 3 additional pictures.
Best regards,
Kemel

Now that clinches it. All are drafts by him. This is how he works too. Berlin Museum has a whole screen with drafts by him. Later he would execute a painting on better paper or silk.
Peter

you should use a better paperweight on this though....

Hi Peter,
Thank you once again for your feedback and comments.
You are right. The work needs some additional care. As explained before, those pages are tied together forming a 4 meter long scroll. With the handling over the years, those pages became a little wrinkled. Therefore, the next step for me is to send the work to a restorer in order to make it flat and more stable.
Best regards,
Kemel

Pic.2-3,
甲午蒲月 - In May of the Year of Wood-Horse (1834)
梅逸亮冩 - Painted by Baiitsu Ryō

Yamamoto Baiitsu 山本梅逸 1783-1856
Ryō 亮 was his original given name
Literate artist in the late Edo period. Born in Nagoya, was a representative painter of the Owari Nanga.

The 8 character seal print on the right lower margin is collector's seal - I can read it only partly;
天口唐影口圖書記 - Ten口 Karakage(Tōkei) 口 Pictures and Calligraphies Records

With regards,
I.Nagy
