The impressed mark in the square reads in Japanese Katakana writing: Yamatoku ヤマトク.
I've seen the other red mark before, often together with the square impressed mark, but I have no idea what it means, perhaps a stylistic Kanji or a kind of logo??

Your Arita ware plate is of a good quality, with these marks dating 1900-1920.

Yamatoku is a kiln in the Saga Prefecture and named after Yamaguchi Tokuichi (i.e.: Yama & Toku), who was instrumental in the expansion of the kiln during the early Meiji Era. The kiln produced ceramics in the traditional Nabeshima Arita Style. Yamatoku has continued to create ceramic goods according to the traditional Nabeshima/Arita style till today.

Regards,
Martin.
