Hi Sylvia,

The mark reads "Ken" 乾 in a stylistic way.
The bowl is Japanese Arita ware from around 1900.

This character "Ken" in Japanese is the 1st character of the name "Kenryu" 乾隆 (Qianlong), which stands for the Chinese Emperor Qianlong Period (1736-1795).

Japanese Ken marks were in use on Arita ware from the late Edo Period circa 1790 till circa 1900 in different styles of writing, see picture.

Unfortunately, no information can be found about who made the pieces with these Ken marks.

Regards,
Martin.
