Subject:Inscription on old Chinese bird painting.
Posted By: Paul Seno Thu, Dec 17, 2020 IP: 106.68.57.140

Hi all, can anyone please help me with this inscription on this old Chinese bird painting. There are two very faint read artist seals as well. Painting looks very old and is on paper pasted to a wooden board.

Thank you
Paul

玉樓主人於台湾作
Painted by Yulouzhuren (Master of Jade Tower) in Taiwan

Yulouzhuren - Pseudonym

The seals are too faded out to read them.

Unidentifiable artist.

With regards,
I. Nagy

Thank you I Nagy.
I was a little puzzled because this painting is Chinese but I could not find a bird native to mainland China to match image. Will study birds of Taiwan to find a match. I never realised the seals where there. They only appeared after I took the photo. Almost invisible to naked eye. I may try some negative photos to see if they show more or examine with ultraviolet light.
Regards
Paul
