Thanks Stan for pointing me to the website.

I have one more question. Frame related question. The painting looks in good shape but the mat is faded and frame has some paint loss. If I open up the frame and put in a new mat and touch up the frame, is that OK. Or does the original framing and mat have any value? If I do open up the frame is there any way to confirm that this is a blockprint? Many thanks.

There is no question that this is a woodblock print. If you go to the link I provided above, the JAODB site has seven copies of the print that you can view. I don't think that the framing is important. My preference for the prints I collect is that they be unframed and not displayed so the colors aren't faded. With recent prints like yours, the inks are more colorfast and less prone to fading.

Cheers,
Stan
