李芸邨 Li YunCun was born in 1931. He studied calligraphy from an early age. He suffered cancer of the throat in 2005, which meant he could not communicate with speech but only writing, or with his wife's help.

in 2005 he donated a set of engraved panels featuring the 4,000 character Diamond Sutra to the DingHui Temple in Suzhou.

This work is dated 己卯, 1999.
