Subject:Re: Calligraphy on Chinese vase

This mark is rather enigmatic. It appears to read in context "Jiangxi product made by Senyuanfa (Jiangxi Sen-yuan fa zao chu pin - 江西森源發造出品). This depends of course on whether I've read and associated the deformed characters correctly.
Despite searching the mark and maker in various character configurations on Google and in my own holdings on Jiangxi porcelain, nothing related to that industry turned up. I should note, though, that the character 'Sen/森' is found in the names of several Republic-period potters.
Also, the character 'Sen/森' by itself is the Japanese surname 'Mori'. Perhaps I.Nagy can gain some idea about a possible Japanese connection from the inscription, which may name the artist who painted the bird & flower motif.
Best regards,
Bill H.
