Posted By: Bill H Wed, Sep 23, 2020 These two Chinese bowls with apparent factory marks were probably made in the late 19th or early 20th century for the China domestic market or export to Southeast Asia. When the first photo is flipped 180 degrees, the character on the right looks like it may be the surname 'Chen' (陳), while the other is questionable but could be a scribbled form of 'Made' (zhi - 製). The mark on the other bowl doesn't make sense to me any way it's turned. |
