Subject:Re: Jiangxi Jingdezhen Min Ci Bowl

FYI for others, the mark reads right-to-left and down in three lines as 'Jiangxi' (江西 - provincial name), 'Jingdezhen' (景德鎮 - main porcelain-making center in Jiangxi province, China) and 'Mingci' (名瓷 - 'Famous porcelain'). Your bowl likely dates from the late-republic, early People's Republic period and looks like an example of transfer decoration. Since it lacks a 'China' or 'Made in China' mark, it may have been made for domestic use or sale to Southeast Asia.
Best regards,
