Subject:Allen's Library
Posted By: Anthony J Allen Sun, Sep 13, 2020 IP: 2407:7000:81a5:1400:

For any reader interested in getting some rare books, my library is coming up for auction at Webb's this Saturday.
Price estimates are the auction house's guess in New Zealand dollars. NZ$100 = USD$67 approx.

Hi Anthony,
You have some superb reference material coming up.
Is this sale via liveauctions or invaluable?
I am interested in lot #14 and others.

Hopefully this link to Invaluable works
https://www.invaluable.com/catalog/gf70c6b89f

There are numerous rare or hard to source books, particularly on Republic porcelain and Chinese bronzes.

If bidding, watch for the time difference. NZ is hours ahead of the U.S and Europe.

Hi Anthony,
Thank you. I saw the listings via invaluable. I have been in contact with them regarding shipping to Australia.
According to their website they write only via pack&send (who are ludicrous in their quotes). However they wrote to me advising me that they do shipping.
So I have asked for clarification and a quote. I hope they contact me tomorrow.
You have some superb and highly sought-after editions that I would love to purchase.
I have also alerted members of Bidamount.com where I am a moderator etc.

Attached is a link to NZ Post's rate finder link. Hopefully it will give you a better idea of the postage from New Zealand. The auction house will charge a few dollars extra for packing.
Mark, postage to Australia is relatively inexpensive
