The mark reads from right to left: Senbai 專賣 Tokkyo 特許 and 2252515 in Japanese Kanji from right to left, which means something like: National Patent 2252515. The patent number 2252515 stands for Meiji year 22 (1889), 5th month of and valid for 15 years and was for the Coralene or Sharkskin (Ishime Yaki) developed by Takeuchi Chubei (1852-1922). So your vases were made somewhere between 1889 and 1904. It is the most unique pottery ever created in Nagoya.
Regards,
Martin.

The marking is the basic monopoly patent statement and number for these wares, produced in the late 19th century and sold by Japanese entrepreneur Takeuchi Chubei. I've embedded a link below which will open up other information and links, while simply adding some pictures of other patterns and forms of this art porcelain genre, including a bowl with the 'Hotei' or 'Cloth Sack Monk'; a jar with 'Rakan' Buddhist deities of which the Hotei is one); and an 8-inch plate with snowscape, quite an apt theme for this type of glaze.

Enjoy!

Bill H.
