I believe this vase is no older than late 20th-early 21st century. Peachbloom glazes, which this vase apparently tries to imitate, were difficult to produce in early Qing kilns, and neither the glaze nor form of this pomegranate vase had a close Kangxi-era precedent as far as I know. That goes for the mark as well. Kangxi marks weren't used apocryphally until after 1875, in the Guangxu era, and most of them at that time were only four-characters.

Also, a sampling of similar eBay and Live Auction items seems to suggest that Mainland China porcelain makers have been trickling pomegranate vases into the marketplace in this form with various external motifs and glazes for years. Some sell initially for high prices until they become recognized as fakes, but the imitators don't give up easily.

See the embedded link below for a 2013 auction result involving a vase of similar form but less splotchy glaze. I would be inclined to ignore the claim of it being 19th century. Its mark is close enough to what's on yours to think the same calligrapher might have written both marks.

Best regards,

Bill H.
