Subject:Chinese hanging scroll with Rohdea japonica
Posted By: Michele Sat, Apr 25, 2020 IP: 116.88.181.184 I would like to know if anybody has seen a scroll like this, representing a large pot of Rohdea japonica decorated with peonies. I have got it from Japan and I can see that it bears numerous Qianlong seals that I suppose are fake. |

Posted By: rat Sat, Apr 25, 2020 Yes, the Qianlong seals are fake, as are the seals and signature of the purported artist, Ming painter Qiu Ying, whose only picture with a floral focus in the imperial collection was this one: https://theme.npm.edu.tw/exh103/qiuying/ch/photo05.html. |
