Subject:Imari Dish

This has me scratching my head. We have a beautiful dish that has been handed down over generations as is accompanied by a hand-written card with the following description: "Antique Imari Dish (12 cm diameter x 2.5 cm). Antique Amari dish with fine brushwork with all Imari colors and gilding. Well shaped with the side edge gilded. Decorated with lovely garden scene, like a framed painting. Age is approximately 200+ years old. Made in Arita and is of the finest quality Imari ware."

The first problem is the measurements don't coincide. The dish is actually 21.5 cm. Now I doubt the rest. I'd love some feedback on this mystery. Thanks again for your help - John

Nicely decorated plate. In my opinion this is typical for early to middle 20th century.

Despite of what is written on your card, this is not 200 years old, this kind of markings were not done in Japan 200 years ago.
It's also not Imari ware, this is Kutani ware from around the 1920's.
I can't decipher the right column of the signature, too cursive for me. But the left column reads (in my opinion): 金山造 Kinzan Zo (made by Kinzan) in Sino-Japanese reading (ON). However, the name might also be: Kanayama or Kaneyama in native Japanese reading (KUN).

So I'm afraid the handwritten card doesn't match this item.
