Subject:Rice Bowl Marks translation
Posted By: Melong Wed, Mar 18, 2020 IP: 75.71.112.84 I've looked everywhere. Can't find this set of marks together and want to know their meaning and likely age of item. |

Posted By: Bill H Thu, Mar 19, 2020 Written within the bottom rim is 'Ruo Shen Zhen Cang' (若深珍藏), 'Precious Collection of the seemingly old', a mark used since the Kangxi period (1662-1722). This doesn't mean that whatever bears the mark is as old. It is No. 1796 in Gerald Davison's 'The New & Revised Handbook of Marks on Chinese Ceramics'. |
