Subject:Japanese Tureen signed YUU maker ID help

I am sure this is modern but would still like to identify the maker. I picked it up recently at a yard sale. The person who had it was selling it was moving. They'd acquired it as a gift and knew nothing more about it. I'm hoping someone out there might recognize the signature " YUU ". thanks in advance for any assistance

More images and dimensions. It is 10" in diameter and 7" tall (to the top of the cover handle).

One more image and one more note. The ladle out of proportion (too large) compared to the bowl / lid. I'm sure it goes with the set so I'm curious as to why? Thanks.
