Subject:Watercolour or oil painting?

I have two paintings which are unsigned and look like they have been produced using a thin oil paint?

Does someone recognised the style of painting and maybe help in identifing the artist?

I have had a further look at this painting. Under 20x magnification you can see pigment particles throughout the painting. Also the base coat of the painting shows brush marks as though it was painted using a glue based medium?

Maybe this could help in establishing how the painting was produced and by which style?
