This is a print from the series 'Meisho awase' (名所合 - Matches from famous places), published ca. 1824-29 by Mikawaya Seiemon. Here, the beauty of the courtesan Miyagi from the Kasaya teahouse (かさ屋 三勝 - Kasaya Miyagi) is compared to the Sensô-ji temple in Asakusa (浅草) in Edo (now Tokyo). |
