Subject:What is this?
Posted By: Abrhm Fri, Jan 10, 2020 IP: 2001:5b0:4fc3:4de8:3

This is jadeite and I have no idea what it is for, and wether or not it’s valuable. Any help appreciated!

That is a hair pin, and yes, it looks like Jadeite. Most likely Qing dynasty.

What is your assessment of the color? To me it looks very nice. But I have no idea the value of this. I have it in my Etsy store and it just does not get viewed

Not sure how you have it described.
Perhaps if you use the following description you may get more views etc.
Late Qing period (1644-1911) 19/20th Century jadeite jade hair pin.
The colour of your jadeite jade is OK from the few small pictures. Commonly known as a type of 'moss in snow' colour. Not high quality. Not low quality either. Your is not really white, it's more of a greyish-white colour based on your pictures that can be deceiving by way of flash/lighting etc.
Hope this helps you out.

Oh thank you for the suggestion! I used that for the title in listing. I have so much jadeite and it’s very hard to know how much to ask.
