Subject:Any insight on Chinese vases?

I have a pair of Chinese vases I inherited from
My grandfather that I’m trying to find information on. I believe the seals on the bottom has several irregularities in the characters so I am assuming they are modern. They were purchased in Thailand in the 1960’s but I don’t have much else to go on

Said vases were bought new in the 60's with a Qianlong mark.

The mark is Qianlong 1736-1795 but it is apocryphal however if they were bought in Thailand in the 1960's there is a very good chance that they are late Qing and still of considerable value,nice pair of vases

This style of Qianlong mark is illustrated as typical of the Republic period (1912-49) in Tony Allen's latest book, 'Allen's Antique Chinese Porcelain - The Detection of Fakes'. The photos here also appear to show traces of the kind of grime that was routinely rubbed onto Chinese vases of that period and later to try to make them look older than their actual age. I rather doubt your vases are as old as the Qing period, which ended in 1911.
