Subject:Chinese scroll seal marks
Posted By: Vicky Tue, Oct 29, 2019 IP: 2a02:c7d:da5e:300:a9

Hi, This is an extremely long slender scroll featuring a long river scene with boats, trade and industry along the banks. It has writing all along the top and at each end with red seals. I have included images of both ends and a small section of the picture to give an idea of painting style. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

this is an embellished copy of a well-known Chinese painting attributed to Zhang Zeduan that is available cheaply on ebay etc. The original it goes by a number of English names, and this version tacks on the large calligraphic frontispiece and the long inscription across the top. The original is much higher quality and looks like this: https://scrolls.uchicago.edu/view-scroll/52
You can zoom in close to see the details. there's also an annotated version which should include the seals you were asking about in your other post

Title of scroll,
"Along the River During Qingming Festival” (清明上河圖)
A panoramic painting (24,8cm x 528,7 cm) attributed to the Somg Dynasty painter Zhang Zeduan (張澤端)
The original painting is now in the collection of Palace Museum in Beijing.
