This says Tianjin, Hong Kong Yongliwei Wine Shop (Tian jin Xiang Gang Yong Li Wei Jiu Dian - 天津香港永利威酒店). Others may know whether this is antique. There's still a Yongliwei shop with apparent wine bottles visible in their online photo on Google. The name means "Always Beneficial and Powerful".

Best regards,

Bill H.

I nodded off on the last character of those on the wine bottle. Should have called it "Zhuang" (庄) instead of "Dian". The meaning is essentially the same, as "Zhuang" would be a "Store" in this context.

Hi this is an old wine jar many were found in New Zealand in the gold fields. They are all mid to late 19thc some probably early 20th.I cannot translate the base but almost certainly it would be the name of he company which produced the rice wine.I have tasted rice wine and don't know how they drink it horrendous stuff!
