Subject:Need help identifying Asian Vase

Hi All,
Here's a nice lobbed vase. I think it is Japanese, but not sure. I've seen this mark before on Asian Arts but could not find it. I would greatly appreciate any information you might have on the vase, including age.

The mark on your Japanese vase, as shown in your bottom photo, needs to be flipped 90-degrees left for proper reading as "Ei" (永), translatable as "Eternity", "Perpetual" or "Forever".

The website gotheborg.com has a better defined blue & white image of the same marking at the link below. It apparently is used by a kiln in the Kutani area, as I've previously found it at gbouvier.com, a subscription website devoted to Kutani marks.

Judging by the decoration, I'd say your vase was made in the late Meiji-Taisho era (ca 1900-1925).
