Cloisonné isn't a principal interest of mine, but from the somewhat modern-looking pale enamels, machine tool markings on the base and traces that appear to be solder where the legs are fastened, I'm going to venture a guess that this censer may have been produced in the 3rd quarter of the 20th century or later. The apocryphal Ming mark of 'Made during the Xuande Reign' (宣德年製) also may have been made and attached separately as opposed to having been cast integrally by the lost wax (cire-perdue) method.

Hopefully Beadiste is around and can give us a more studied evaluation.

Best regards,

Bill H.
